Parents Association
The Parents Association is the official body that represents all parents at St Mark’s Church School. The Parents Association aims to :
- promote good relations, communication and co-operation between parents and the school
- raise funds to benefit the school and students generally
- ensure the views of parents and the Parents Association are made known to the Board
- further the interests and welfare of the students and the school
Committee meetings are held on the first Monday of the month during term time. Starting at 8:00am and held in the School Board Room, all parents and caregivers are welcome to attend. Each meeting includes a regular Principal’s update so everyone learns more about what is going on in the school. It is also a great opportunity to meet other parents from across the school. Meetings generally take about an hour to an hour and a half.
The Parents Association, in conjunction with the SMILE Team, coordinate large fundraising events. This year, the Christmas at St Mark’s Gala will be held on Sunday 27 November. In previous years we have also held Parent Balls (A Starry Night in 2015 and a Masquerade Ball in 2013).
Should parents wish to discuss any issues to do with their child at school or the way the school is run, they should first contact their child’s teacher.
