This page aims to answer any questions you may have about our school’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. We are following Government and Ministry of Education advice regarding our ongoing operations, and we will add new information as and when relevant.

LEARNING UNDER COVID-19

There is a huge amount of uncertainty in our world at the moment but one thing is for certain – St Mark’s is a place with a strong commitment to learning and teaching.

For 2022, we can confirm that everyone will be on site for learning from the start of the school year, regardless of what setting we are in under the Traffic Light Framework. This is good news and means we can plan for a great 2022.

You can find more information specific to schools on the Ministry of Education’s website.

At St Mark’s, a strength of our community is our ability to come together as one. We look after each other, and faith, kindness and love are at the heart of everything we do.

If you or your child require any support, please reach out to your classroom teacher, Associate Dean or Deputy Principal. You can also access support and information on a huge range of issues at our School TV site.

TESTIMONIALS

We really appreciate all of the efforts the teachers were going to, to provide stimulating resources and activities for the children, especially when they are also inside their bubbles (with kids/family members often) and working with what resources are to hand. The displays and animations and activation of household objects for storytime has been incredible. Hats off to all the highly creative acts undertaken by the teachers.

Preschool Parent

We wanted to write to you and let you know how impressed and appreciative we are with the distance learning program that you have all put together and implemented. Edward is so happy each day to see Mr Mrdalj and his friends and is enjoying the tasks set for him. The amount and type of tasks seem just right as does the extra engagement time such as story time. Your emphasis on community and wellbeing stands out - please thank all of your staff from us.

Year 6 Parent

I just wanted to say "wow". I am blown away at how much support both students and parents are receiving at Level 4. I'm humbled to be part of St Mark's School, I'm tearfully grateful that their learning is continuing with such a high level of care and attention.
