BUSINESS MANAGER

Trusted advisor to the Principal and Board.  Pragmatic, effective business management.

St Mark’s is a co-educational Independent Anglican School from Preschool to Year 8. It offers a vibrant and supportive atmosphere with an excellent academic foundation for children to develop a lifelong love of learning. The school motto is “Nulla dies sine linea” (Make your mark every day). We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Business Manager who will embrace this motto and take leadership of the business aspects of St Mark’s allowing the Principal to focus on educational and strategic leadership.

About the Role:

As Business Manager, you will be an integral and important member of the school’s Senior Management Team, you will play a key part in the day-to-day operations of the school.  You will lead and advise the Principal in all matters covering financial management, administration, as well as strategic business planning. Ideally, you will be a manager who is commercially adept, with considerable business nous and strong accounting skills and knowledge.

About You:

We are seeking candidates with the energy and drive to deliver exceptional outcomes. Beyond experience in the core operations outlined, your strong relationship management skills will be valued when engaging with a broad range of stakeholders and senior colleagues. The ability to translate commercial risks and opportunities into practical strategic advice for the Principal and Board will be essential. Ideally, you will be CA qualified, or similar and want to embrace the opportunities for innovation and improvement.

This role could be a part time or full time position and work conditions and hours are flexible.

BOARD TRUSTEES

We are seeking individuals to join the School Board of St Mark’s Church School. Ideally, applicants are expected to be able to understand the educational and church context within which the school operates, to provide corporate governance, and to understand the business and function of the school. The skills we are particularly seeking to recruit to the Board at this time include project management, property management, financial management, legal expertise and governance experience.
