Today we've given out prizes and Yearbooks, enjoye Today we've given out prizes and Yearbooks, enjoyed performances by our choir, orchestra and jazz band, farewelled the Year 8s and rung the school bell.....and now school is out! Merry Christmas everyone, and we look forward to seeing you again in 2021.

It was a huge pleasure to welcome Rev. Anne van Ge It was a huge pleasure to welcome Rev. Anne van Gend - Executive Director of the Anglican Schools Office, and Rev. Tony Gerritsen to our school last week. Anne and Tony visited as part of our school's Special Character Review to speak with staff, students and Board members as to how the Anglican character of our school is being lived out. They commented on the 'special feel' of St Mark's, how our students are outward looking and compassionate, and how there is a strong sense of community and togetherness in our school.

These wonderful students were interviewed when The Breeze visited us as part of their #PackTheBus campaign. The students did a fabulous job and spoke beautifully and confidently - a big well done to them all!

We are thrilled to announce that Year 6 student Ed We are thrilled to announce that Year 6 student Edward has achieved the highest score in New Zealand for the ICAS Mathematics exam! Edward was one of over a million students around the world who sat the exam, and today he was presented with a medal to recognize his exceptional achievement. Congratulations Edward! 🥇

The Year 5s have been making air dry clay coil hea The Year 5s have been making air dry clay coil hearts. They learnt how to roll, make snails or coils, make balls and create slip. We made hearts as part of our 'Who We Are' inquiry and are hoping they dry quickly so we can paint them soon!

The Preschool celebrated @UNICEF 's #WorldChildren The Preschool celebrated @UNICEF 's #WorldChildrensDay on Friday. 
They all wore their favourite blue clothes, and three lucky children were chosen to be Preschool Leaders for the day! Our Preschool Leaders met with Mr Favel and presented their planning for the day's activities, as well as the Children's Rights wreath. We were also very proud to raise over $300 for @KidsCanNZ

Year 7s surfing at Titahi Bay as part of their Out Year 7s surfing at Titahi Bay as part of their Outdoor Education activities that they are completing for the William Pike Challenge. What an awesome day in the surf and the kids (and adults) had the best day ever!
