St Mark’s School is a co-educational Private Anglican Diocesan School with children from Preschool to Year 8. Based in Wellington, we are a registered IB World School and teach the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP).
At the heart of St Mark’s is our team of highly qualified teachers and support staff. We welcome applications from those who are passionate about making a difference to the lives and futures of our young people.
Expressions of Interest – St Mark’s School Board
We are inviting expressions of interest to fill two vacant positions on the St Mark’s School Board. Being on the St Mark’s Board is a voluntary role. It is a rewarding way of contributing to the school and its future. If you love the school, have relevant skills and governance experience, and want to help improve it, please consider applying to join the Board. We will mainly seek Board members with commercial/financial experience, human resource expertise, education and/or wellbeing expertise. We will especially welcome applications that would increase the Board’s diversity to reflect the whole school community better.
Further information on the process and key dates can be found here: Parents Information Evening Presentation
Not sure you can commit to the full Board but would still like to be involved?
There are two other ways you can contribute to our school if you are unsure whether being on the Board would be your thing:
Join the Parent Association / SMILE team that helps organise community-building and fundraising events throughout the year. Contact the President of SMILE, Richard Barker smile@st-marks.school.nz
Consider becoming a member of a Board subcommittee as a non-Board member. St Mark’s has subcommittees in Finance, Property, Health, Safety & Wellbeing, Education, Governance and Marketing. Each of these governance subcommittees supports the school leadership in particular aspects of the school and makes recommendations to the full Board.
If you are interested, please email principalea@st-marks.school.nz or talk to any of the current Board members. You will find their profiles on the school website.
