Dean of Lower Primary (Year 0-4)
We seek a talented, experienced, highly enthusiastic and inspirational senior leader to join our amazing staff team beginning in Term 3, 2024. The Dean of Lower Primary is also a member of the Senior Leadership Team. We are a co-educational Independent Anglican International Baccalaureate World School teaching the Primary Years Programme (PYP). Applicants should have strengths in teaching inquiry, numeracy and literacy, and should have strong pastoral care skills, a passion for collaboration and teaching in a co-educational environment. You will also be supportive of our special character and being involved in our extra-curricular programmes. Prior knowledge of IB PYP is not required or essential as PD will be provided. Teaching a homeroom class is also a requirement.

Board Trustee Members
We are seeking up to two individuals to join the School Board of St Mark’s School. This is a voluntary role. Ideally, applicants are expected to be able to understand the educational and church context within which the school operates, to provide governance, and to understand the business and function of the school. The skills and expertise we are particularly seeking to recruit to the Board at this time include property management/development, education and/or wellbeing, marketing and governance experience.

All applications will be considered on their merits. However, we will particularly welcome applications which would enhance the diversity of the Board.

Principal’s Executive Assistant
We are seeking experienced applicants for the full-time (40 hours per week) Principal’s Executive Assistant position to join our staff team, starting in late May 2024. The EA to the Principal is a pivotal, high trust role in a dynamic school environment and would best suit a professional Executive Assistant with proven experience operating at a similar level. The successful candidate will hold a key position, using initiative, have exemplary time management skills and integrity to provide high level support to the Principal. An extension to this role also involves providing business support and as secretary to the St Mark’s Trust Board.

Working alongside the Principal, you will assist them in navigating a busy schedule, pre-empting requirements well in advance, with integrity, confidentiality and professionalism.
Management of the Principal’s time is a key aspect of the role however, you will also need to be proficient in your own time management, taking pleasure and pride in the ability to manage and prioritise your own tasks and the demands placed on you by students, staff, and the wider school community.
Your ability to communicate information clearly, concisely and in a timely manner to the Principal and outwards to the wider community will be important in this position. You will enjoy working in a busy, vibrant environment, and relating to everyone with a friendly welcoming attitude. You will be required to provide administration support, take minutes, prepare documentation and employment contracts, so sound and effective written communication skills are essential to the role. In this capacity you will also need to possess excellent knowledge and understanding of digital environments, and outstanding capability to utilise these to enable timely and effective delivery of documentation and streamlined processes.

Short Term Relief Teachers
St Mark’s is looking to build its relief teacher register and would love to hear from certificated teachers who would be available to teach on a casual basis within the School.

To apply for a position as a relief teacher, you must be fully qualified as a teacher and hold a current New Zealand practicing certificate, issued by the Teaching Council NZ. You must also have the right to work in New Zealand as a New Zealand citizen or resident, or be the holder of a suitable work visa.
